Got a good student deal

I needed a bunch of social media icons for a school project and saw they had a student discount. It made the Noun Pro annual subscription really affordable. The free icons for personal use were nice but the Pro access for the filled icons and color icons was definitely worth it. I downloaded a ton of stuff and it was easy to get them into my Figma integration. Saved me a lot of money compared to other sites I checked. Felt like a smart purchase.

Decent value, small hiccup

I purchased an annual Noun Pro subscription to access their curated icon collections and stock photos. The variety of business icons and nature icons was impressive, and the unlimited downloads for commercial use are a solid deal. The Adobe Illustrator plugin worked well for most of my needs. However, I did notice that finding very niche abstract icons sometimes took a bit longer than I hoped, requiring a few different search terms. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about the licensing terms for a specific photo, so that was a plus. Overall, it's good value, but the search could be a touch more intuitive for obscure items.

Always reliable for icons

I've been using Noun Project for years for my design work. This time, I needed a specific set of technology icons for a new app interface. As usual, the selection was vast, and the quality was consistent with what I've come to expect. Their SVG files always integrate well into my workflow, which is why I keep coming back. It's a dependable resource for vector icons, never had an issue with licenses either. Just keeps delivering.

Good for quick icons

Needed some UI icons fast. Got a small pack of glyph icons. Download was quick, files were easy to use. Saved me time on a project. All good.

Can I use the icons I download for a client project, like commercially? Or is it just for personal stuff?

D David Robinson 1 week ago
If you have Noun Pro or license them individually, totally. That's what I do for my freelance work. Just make sure to check the specific licensing if you're not Pro.

M Michael Lee 1 week ago
For commercial use, you either need a Noun Pro subscription or purchase individual licenses. Free accounts require attribution, which isn't always practical for client work.

Does Lingo have its own separate discounts or are the promo codes usually for Noun Project main site?

B Brian N. 1 week ago
Lingo often has its own separate deals, especially during sales like Black Friday. They sometimes bundle them, but I've seen Lingo-specific codes.

M Michael Y. 1 week ago
I think they're often separate, yeah. Like, a Noun Pro code probably wouldn't work for Lingo and vice versa. Keep an eye out for Lingo's own promos.

Hey, wondering about the student discount for Noun Pro. Is it a significant saving or just a tiny bit off?

D Daniel Rodriguez 4 weeks ago
Yeah, it's pretty good! I got 50% off my first year with my student ID. Definitely worth looking into.

S Steven 3 weeks ago
I think it's usually around 50% for students, sometimes depends on the specific promo running when you sign up. But generally a good deal.

I saw something about free icons for personal use. How exactly does that work, like do you need to attribute them or something?

P Paul Williams 1 month ago
Yes, for free personal use, you definitely need to attribute the creator. It's usually a small credit line. If you don't want to attribute, that's when you need Pro or to buy a license.

L Lisa 1 month ago
Yeah, free icons require attribution. They make it clear what you need to do. If you get Pro, then you don't have to worry about attribution for most uses.

Thinking of getting a team plan for my small design agency. Is the discount for teams automatically applied or do you need a special code?

A Adam Hall 1 week ago
Pretty sure it's usually automatic based on the number of seats you add. You'll see the discounted rate when you go through the team plan setup.

A Alex L. 6 days ago
I didn't use a code for my team plan, it just showed the tiered pricing as I added users. I think the discount is built into the team structure itself.

Are all the icons vector based (SVGs) or are there a lot of PNGs too? I mostly work with vectors.

M Michael A. 1 week ago
Most are available as SVG, which is awesome. You can get PNGs too, but if you're Pro, SVG is usually the default and best option for editing.

N Nick S. 1 week ago
They have tons of both! The whole point is high-quality SVG and PNG. If you're looking for vectors, you'll be set. Just make sure you're downloading the SVG file type.

Is it easy to cancel the Noun Pro subscription if I decide it's not for me after a few months? No hidden fees or anything right?

I Ian N. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I canceled mine last year, super straightforward. Just went into my account settings and clicked a button. No issues.

L Laura H. 2 weeks ago
It's pretty standard, you can cancel anytime before your next billing cycle. They don't try to hide the option or anything. No hidden fees in my experience.
